Cinnamon Rolls

Most of the people that I know love cinnamon rolls. These sweet rolls are so delicious. When they bake, the cinnamon spice will perfume your home and warm your heart. Every time I go the airport, I have to visit the Cinnabon – that name says it all. I know, I know, this one of my weaknesses. It is difficult to keep my good figure because these rolls are stuffed with too many calories and sugar. Ya da ya da!  But if you learn to make cinnamon rolls at home, at least you can control the sugar content--right?:) Trust me, you don't want to give up this treat.

Ingredients:
3/4 cup warm milk (90-105°)
1 egg
2 tbs sugar
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbs soft butter or margarine
2 tsp active yeast
3 cup bread flour

Fillings:
1/3 cup soft butter or margarine
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1/3 dried fruit ( raisin,cranberries ect..)
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla

Icings:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbs milk or orange juice

Directions:
Place all the ingredients as listed above into the bread pan  Press the dough button to start the process, and let the bread machine do its job for mixing, kneading and rising.
When done, remove the dough from the bread pan and place dough on a lightly-floured surface. Knead dough for a couple of minutes. Lightly cover the dough and let it  rest for 15 minutes. While the dough is resting, butter an 8 by 12 inch baking dish, and combine the filling and set aside.

After 15 minutes, roll dough into a rectangular shapr, about 15 x 10 inches. Spread the filling over dough to within 1 inch of edges.

Roll dough up tightly lengthwise like a sausage.Press edges at both ends to seal and form into a 12-inch-long evenly shaped rolls.
With a sharp knife, cut roll into 12 equal-size pieces--each piece about 1 inch. Place rolls into buttered baking dish.

Cover and keep in a warm place for another 40 to 50 minutes or until double in size or the rolls can be refrigerated to bake in the morning for breakfast.
Bake in preheated oven at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Combine the icing ingredients in a cup, mix well to the consistency like heavy cream. You might need more milk or orange juice.
