Lemon Pound Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • For the Cake:
    • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 tsp lemon zest
    • 1/2 cup butter at room temperature
    • 2 tbsp lemon juice
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 2 eggs
  • For the Glaze:
    • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
    • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Equipment:

  • 8x4 inch loaf pan lined with parchment paper

Directions:

1.    Preheating the Oven:

2.    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x4 inch loaf pan with parchment paper and set aside.

3.    Preparing Dry Ingredients:

13.                       Cooling: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

14.                       Preparing the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth.
