Buttermilk-Vegetable Bread

A bread machine will help to create the moist, rich, and tender loaf. Forget plain, white sandwich bread and say hello to healthy vegetable bread!

Ingredients:
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup vegetable juice*
1 cup vegetable pulp*
1 tsp salt
2 tbs honey
2 tbs margarine
1/4 tsp baking soda
3 cups bread flour
2 tsp active dry yeast

Directions:
Place all the ingredients in a bread machine pan as listed in the order above. Select the dough setting and press start.
Butter an 8" x 5" loaf pan and set aside.
After the dough cycle ends, remove dough and place dough into the prepared loaf pan. Cover dough with a damp kitchen towel and place in a warm place. Let it rise for 40 minutes or until almost doubled in size. Brush top with milk and bake in a preheated oven set to 375° for 30 minutes.




*The vegetable pulp and juice is up to your choice of vegetables.
