with this delicious Chocolate Banana Bread.
Combining the decadent taste of brownies with the comforting familiarity
of banana bread, this recipe creates a delightful treat perfect for breakfast
or a sweet snack any time of day.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup oil or melted butter
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar (mix of white and brown)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon pumpkin spice
Directions:
1.
Preparing the batter: In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs, oil (or
melted butter), and sugar with an electric mixer until the sugar dissolves. Add vanilla, pumpkin spice, and flour, then
mix until well combined. Divide the batter into two equal portions.
2.
Making the chocolate batter: In a separate bowl, mash the ripe bananas. Sift in the cocoa powder and mix well. Add one portion of the batter to the banana
mixture and stir until smooth.
3.
Assembling the bread: Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Pour the chocolate banana batter into the pan
first, then pour the remaining plain batter on top. Use a fork to swirl the two layers together
for a marbled effect gently. Sprinkle
some brown sugar on top for added crunch.
4.
Baking: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes or
until a toothpick inserted into the center comes clean.
5.
Cooling & Serving: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes
before transferring to a wire rack. Slice
and enjoy!
