Sour Cream Walnut Coffee Cake

A streusel coffee cake is a quick cake, but it tastes wonderful. This coffee cake can be served at breakfast or as a snack with afternoon tea. This recipe is very easy to follow and never fails to perform. I have served this coffee cake many times for my friends, and they love it.

Ingredients:
Dry Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbs baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
Wet ingredients:
2 eggs
1 ½ cups sour cream
1 stick of butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Streusel ingredients:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Combine all the streusel ingredients in a bowl and use mix well
Bring all the ingredients to room temperature.
Grease a 9” x 9” cake pan with soft butter and set aside.

Sift the dry ingredients and set aside.
Melt the butter.
In a mixing bowl, add sugar and pour the still-hot, melted butter and whisk well. Add sour cream, vanilla, and eggs. Whisk to combine.

Pour the sour cream/butter mixture into the dry ingredients. Use a spatula to fold in the batter together until just well combined.

Scoop half of the batter into the prepared cake pan.

Divide the streusel ingredients in half and spread on top of the batter.

Then scoop the rest of the batter over and top with the rest of the streusel ingredients.

Bake in a preheated oven set to 350° for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let cool, cut into desired size rectangles, and serve.
