In the morning before heading out to work, bring out the Crock-Pot®, frozen chicken, and a bottle of the favorite BBQ sauce, which is all that is needed to create a sweet and wonderful chicken dish –Crock-Pot® Pulled BBQ Chicken. The lazy version of this dish is roasted chicken from the grocery . It is a wonderful dish for feeding a large family or even a college student sharing the kitchen with roommates. The Crock-Pot® is the answer.
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts (fresh or frozen)*
3/4 cup good BBQ sauce
1/4 cup Italian dressing
1/2 cup sliced red onions
Salt, pepper to taste
Directions:
In a bowl, mix the BBQ sauce and Italian dressing.
Place chickens in the crockpot. Pour the sauce over the chicken. Top with sliced onions.
Cover, slow cook on low heat for 6 to 8 hours or on high heat for 3 to 4 hours. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
*If 3 cups of roasted chicken are used, the cooking time is reduced to 2 hours on high. I like to use roasted chicken because it is quicker, and the chicken is tastier with all the seasoning.
