Basic Scone

 Ingredients:

1 cup all purpose flour

4 oz. cold butter

1/4 cup sugar

1/8 tsp salt

1/2 tbs baking powder

Wet ingredients:

1/2 egg

1/4 cup heavy cream

Spices:

Cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg

Fruit:

cranberries, blueberries, and raisins

Directions:


In the bowl add flour then work the butter into the dough using your fingers.

Add sugar, cinnamon, salt and baking powder.

Whisk the heavy cream and egg together.

 Stir the egg mixture into the flour mixture.

Add Fruits if using. slightly form the dough into a circle

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and pat into a circle., about 1 inch thick.

Sprinkle the dough with sugar and cut it into triangles. 

line the baking sheet with parchment paper and transfer the dough into the baking sheet.

 Bake the scones in a preheated oven until golden brown., about 15 minutes
