Quick and Easy Way to prepare the most well-known Pho

Pho, the quintessential Vietnamese dish, is renowned for its aromatic broth and delicate flavors, traditionally simmered for hours to achieve its unique taste. However, the modern lifestyle often demands quicker solutions without compromising on the essence of the dish. This recipe offers a swift alternative, utilizing the convenience of an instant pot and pre-cooked chicken, making it possible to enjoy a comforting bowl of pho in a fraction of the time. The use of ready-made pho spice blends simplifies the process further, ensuring that the broth still carries the signature pho fragrance and warmth. Fresh vegetables add crunch and nutrition, while the roasted chicken from Costco or Sam's Club introduces a smoky depth. The assembly of the dish allows for personalization with garnishes like beansprouts, Thai basil, cilantro, lime, and chilis, inviting a burst of freshness with each spoonful. This approach to pho respects the traditional flavors while adapting to the rhythm of contemporary life, proving that even the most time-honored dishes can be reinvented for convenience without losing their soul. Enjoying this easy bowl of pho brings a piece of Vietnamese culinary art into any home kitchen, offering a quick yet satisfying escape to the streets of Hanoi or Saigon. Whether it's a busy weekday or a lazy weekend, this recipe ensures that a delicious and nourishing meal is never out of reach.

Ingredients:

1 roasted chicken from Costco or Sam's Club

1 bag of ready-made Pho spice from Pho Hoa or your choice in the market now.

1 cup of daikon, carrots, celery, cabbage, and zucchini.

300-gram fresh noodles.

Seasonings:

Fish sauce, chicken powder, sugar and salt.

On the side:

Beansprouts, Thai basil, cilantro, lime wedge, chilis and hoisin sauce.

Onions sliced for garnish

Directions:

Separate some of the meat from the roasted chicken for later use. If you want to serve 2 or more people, then use your choice of the quantity of the meat.

Place all the chicken, the spicy bag, and the vegetables in the instant pot. Add 14 cups of water and close the lid. Use the pressure function and time for 20 minutes. After it is done cooking let it naturally release.

Drain and discard all the solids. Pour the broth back into the instant pot.

Turn to the broth function. Adjust the seasoning at this time with sugar, fish sauce, and chicken powder. The Pho broth is now ready to serve.

To assemble the bowl of pho:

Cook rice noodles following the directions on the package.

Slice the chicken thinly.

Place noodles in the serving bowl, top with chicken and sliced onions and chopped green onion and cilantro. Pour the hot broth over.
