- 1 lb mung bean sprouts
- 1/2 cup water
Sauce ingredients:
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp mirin
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 slices of green onion
- 1 slice of hot chili
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 1/4 tsp roasted sesame seeds
Directions:
1. Begin by thoroughly washing the mung
bean sprouts to ensure they are clean. After washing, allow them to drain
completely.
2. Prepare the sauce by combining light soy
sauce, sugar, mirin, rice vinegar, sesame oil, green onion slices, hot chili
slice, minced garlic, and roasted sesame seeds in a mixing bowl. Once combined,
set the bowl aside.
3. Use a large pot to add the mung bean
sprouts. Create a small well in the center and carefully pour water into it.
Cover the pot with a lid and place it over heat.
4. Allow the sprouts to steam for
approximately 2 to 3 minutes. After steaming, remove them from the pot and let
them cool down for a bit.
5. The final step is to pour the previously
prepared sauce over the cooled mung bean sprouts.
